Soup Kitchens

Caring for the vulnerable.

For many in Eastern Europe, putting a hot meal on the table each day is far from guaranteed—especially for vulnerable individuals earning low wages and elderly people surviving on meager pensions.

To bring relief and hope, Mission Without Borders has established 13 soup kitchens—also known as community centers—across Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Moldova, and Ukraine. Here, those in need can enjoy a nourishing meal, find companionship, and receive comfort from God’s Word.

At these centers, elderly individuals and others facing hardship not only receive a daily meal but also have the chance to connect with their peers, breaking the cycle of loneliness and isolation. In this warm and welcoming space, they experience dignity, belonging, and the reassurance that they are valued and respected.
